Having met my mentor I’ve been able to have an open mind with regards to everything and anything I find myself involved with. I’ve also learned to be courageous and develop myself in many ways. I’ve been able to support a friend with an NGO (Dinko Surugu Girl Child foundation) which is set up to help educate, motivate, mentor, encourage and empower young girls become prominent people in the near future

Thanks to Mentoring Women Ghana, during my shadow week I had the opportunity to sit on an interview panel with my mentor (Angela Dedo Kofi), and the mock interview with Unilever helped me to know presentation is key

My Mentorship experience has been awesome. I attended Mentoring Walk when I had to participate in an interview process at the UN Information Center and I clearly needed direction on the activities of the UN in Ghana. I was invited to have an internship at the UN Information Center in Accra for three months. My perception about being a diplomat as a women has also changed from being impossible to attain such a status to possible to be who you want to achieve.mThank you, Mentoring Walk Team

            Mentee, 2023

I joined Mentoring Women Ghana in 2023 hoping for guidance, but I found a family. This exposure didn’t just bring me joy; it shifted my mindset. It taught me that to uplift others, I must build the financial, skilled, and leadership capacity to do so effectively.

This post is simply to say thank you, Auntie Brigitte Dzogbenuku, for opening doors—not just for me, but for young women across the country. For reminding us that mentorship can be thoughtful, organised, and genuinely transformational.
